Biography of David Annandale

David Annandale was born in Winnipeg, grew up there, and keeps returning to it. At the age of 16 months, he contracted laryngitis from tear gas in the May '68 Paris riots, giving him early insight into the socio-political upheavals of our conflicted world. Or something like that. He still loves Paris, though, and has lived there, as well as in Charlottetown (which has less tear gas) and Edmonton, where he did his PhD on horror fiction and film. Every summer for twelve years, he worked at the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre. Currently, he teaches film and literature at the University of Manitoba.
